Norcom Cares Raises Over $26,400 Supporting Local Charities

Four Connecticut and two Massachusetts charities benefit from fundraiser

During the month of May, 162 people joined Norcom Cares for its second 100 Mile Challenge, and logged a total of 14,746 miles raising over $26,400 to support Connecticut and Massachusetts charities.

“From food and supply shortages to loss in revenue, our charities and non-profit organizations are still experiencing the effects of COVID-19,” said Phil DeFronzo, President of Norcom Mortgage. “For our second 100 Mile Challenge, we wanted to help as many organizations as possible, and hope that these donations will help our communities flourish.”

All proceeds from this challenge support: Brian Dagle Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Fall River, Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven, Marine Corps League det 40, Avon Food Pantry and Soulful Eyes Equine Rescue. Each charity received 10% of the proceeds.

Norcom Cares held its first virtual 100 Mile Challenge in November 2020, and supported Loaves and Fishes, Ready CT, The Diaper Bank of Connecticut and South Park Inn.
